JPEG2000 images
Newer PopCap games such as Peggle and Bejeweled 3 use a format called JPEG2000.
JPEG2000 is a wavelet-based lossy compression format which is also used in digital cinema.
JPEG2000 and regular JPEG are neither backwards nor forwards-compatible with each other.
To check whether a PopCap game supports JPEG2000, look for j2k-codec.dll or anything related to it in the game's installation directory. If you find one, that game supports JPEG2000, otherwise, it does not.
Adding the said DLL to a game that does not have the codec will not work. On those games, you must convert such images to PNG (recommended), JPG, or GIF (not recommended) format before use.
